"I've had my hands in hair since I was a kid, I've always been drawn to it. On birthdays I asked for rollers and curling irons, and during trips to the thrift store I got vintage hair dryers and crimpers. I thought it was magic- the way you could transform hair with these tools. Everyone knew I wanted to become a hairstylist even before I did, and I am so glad that's what happened. I went to Gene Jurez Academy and started doing hair right out of school. I've had advanced training all across the country, I've been doing hair for over 10 years and I'm so grateful to work in a profession I love. I still feel new sometimes, and I think that's good because it keeps me on my toes. The learning never stops since hair is always changing, and now with social media we have so much more to inspire us. I think my favorite thing besides getting to play with people's hair, is making them feel good. It's always awesome to make someone's day by making them love their hair!"
